Following the reissue last year of Fairuz's classic 1979 album "Wahdon", Wewantsounds pursue their exploration of great Lebanese music with the reissue of Fairuz's highly sought-after LP "Maarifti Feek," released in 1987. Recorded in Beirut around 1983-84, the album features the Diva's superb voice combined with Ziad Rahbani's jazz and funk orchestration, making it one of the most in-demand albums on the Arabic funk scene. This blend of Oriental grooves with jazz and funk orchestrations by Ziad Rahbani is a unique document of Fairuz's career development in the 80s and explains why "Maarifti Feek" is such a sought after album on the DJ and collector circuits which Wewantsounds is delighted to reissue for the first time since the album first came out.

Wewantsounds presents this reissue of Billy Brooks' much sought-after album 'Windows Of The Mind', released in 1974 on Ray Charles' Crossover Records. It includes one of the most famous samples in hip hop history in the form of 'Fourty Days' which forms the backbone of A Tribe Called Quest's 1990 anthemic "Luck of Lucien". Newly remastered, the reissue comes with original artwork.

Kiko Dinucci Announces Deluxe Version Of 2019 Album 'Rastilho' With Previously Unreleased Bonus Tracks. On Rastilho Kiko Dinucci absorbs the lineage of Brazilian guitarists such as Dorival Caymmi, Joao Gilberto, Baden Powell, Jorge Ben and Gilberto Gil - yet filtered through his uniquely 'punk' musical vision. His style is raw - technically, he seems to attack the guitar strings, lyrically he explores Afro-Brazilian culture, slavery, Brazilian revolutionaries, candomblé and evangelical Christianity. Dinucci is one the most innovative artists in contemporary Brazilian music - as well as a member of Metá Metá, who combine elements of Brazilian music, candomblé, punk rock and free jazz, he has worked with Tom Zé, Criolo and Elza Soares.

Culture of Fear marks a happy return to the more placid waters of classic Thievery Corporation albums like The Mirror Conspiracy and Richest Man In Babylon. The album’s strongest moments occur when guests arrive to give some focus to its indisputably lovely, but sometimes meandering productions, as when Boston bred underground rapper Mr. Lif enlivens the title track with some incisive verses on mass media and surveillance culture.
