Born to a French mother and a Burkinabe-Senegalese father, Jennifer "Hawa" Zonou bathed from a young age into the world of the Afro-American music. Deliberately more live, the entire production is made both with analog equipment and tape recorder, and with the participation of the live band members. His music is filled with fusion style, mixing influences and elements from his Latin musical background, with his genuine admiration for Jazz, Soul, Pop and Funk music.

In Lucas’ words, Sambadi is highly inspired by Rio de Janeiro: “I’m living between two places, but my music and my heart are all in Rio”. As for the musical side, the album almost sounds like a tribute to his longtime heroes, with tasty influences by Stevie Wonder, Curtis Mayfield, Marcos Valle, Azymuth, Robson Jorge & Lincoln Olivetti amongst many others. And Lucas also humbly concludes: “With Sambadi, I really hope to honor all the guys who influenced me.”

Following this successful first effort, here comes "SOLAR", new and second solo album by Lucas Arruda, filled with his fusion style, mixing influences and elements from his Latin musical background, with his genuine admiration for Jazz, Soul and Funk music.

Released in summer 2018, 'A.E.I.O.U.' is the first single from upcoming album by legendary Brazilian singer DI MELO.

This time last year, French combo Cotonete joined forces with Brazilian singer Di Melo to deliver what became one of the sleeper hits of last summer - the Latin disco/jazz-funk fusion of "A.E.I.O.U.".
