First Encounter, recorded in Tokyo in 1971 for French producer Herve Bergerat, shows that the intense pairing was quite natural, the harmonic dissonance of Waldron's "She Walks In Beauty" contrasted by the up-tempo groove of Peacock's "What's That"; future Native Son founder Hiroshi Murakami makes important contribution on drums.

The Sidewinder is a 1964 album by the jazz trumpeter Lee Morgan, recorded at the Van Gelder Studio in Englewood, New Jersey, U.S. It was released on the Blue Note label as BLP 4157 (mono) and BST 84157 (stereo). The title track is perhaps Morgan's all-around best-known composition; it would go on to become a jazz standard, and was additionally released as a single.

Blue Note TONE POET Series. In a set that begs comparison to Sonny Rollins's famous Village Vanguard recordings of 1957, tenor-master Joe Henderson performed with a similar pianoless trio, using bassist Ron Carter and drummer Al Foster.

The 1980 version of this quartet featured Chico Freeman on tenor and bass clarinet, John Purcell's work on baritone and alto, and bassist Peter Warren. The wide-ranging music on this fine set ranges from African rhythms and colors reminiscent of Duke Ellington to some boppish moments and a bit of light funk.

Recorded in April 1964, In ‘N Out falls square in the middle of the formidable run of five classic Blue Note albums that launched tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson’s legendary career.

Released on 20 September 2009, Backspacer was a huge commercial success. It topped the Billboard 200 and was Pearl Jam’s first No.1 album since No Code. The band toured on and off behind it for several years before going back into the studio for 2013’s Lightning Bolt. But, for many, Backspacer captured everything that’s great about the group: riff-driven rock fueled by infectious energy.

Tenor saxophonist Getz and pianist Evans recorded the album in May 1964, with Rudy Van Gelder doing the engineering -- but Verve didn’t release it until 1973, subtitled Previously Unreleased Recordings.

Released in January 1965 by Impulse! Records, A Love Supreme became one of the most acclaimed jazz records, and contemporary critics hailed it as one of the important albums of post-war jazz.
