Thrustis the follow up toHead Hunters[MOVLP030] using the same band except for drummer Harvey Mason, who is replaced by the Head Hunters' Mike Clark. The cover ofThrustreveals a lot of the album. Herbie's sitting comfortablyin his spaceship controlled by a synth froman alien world, reachingto the clouds and beyond. Well, that's what his stature was in 1974 - one of the seminal renewers of Jazz by incorporating new electric instruments like theARP synthesizer. 180 gram audiophile vinyl

Jazz

Sextant from 1973 was recorded just before Head Hunters [MOVLP030], and can be seen in the same vein, but it's more than just an introduction to a masterpiece. It features a kind of post-modal, free impressionism while gracing the edges of funk. Three long instrumental tracks explore how far minimalism in jazz can go. 180 gram audiophile vinyl

Electronic Downtempo Lounge

Numbered Limited Edition on Transparent Vinyl. In the period before their breakthrough with Sex 'n' Jazz, three international albums by Gare du Nord appeared to be cherished by the many fans of the first hour. The debut album (in search of) "Excellounge" with the European hit "Pablo's Blues" appeared in the slipstream of St Germain's "Tourist" and became a classic in the genre. Successor "Kind Of Cool" contained - in addition to the title song in the best Miles Davis tradition - the film hit "Sold My Soul". The successful "Club Gare Du Nord" had a remarkable contribution by trumpet player Erik Truffaz in the classic "We Still Grow" and the catchy Becker / Fagen adaptation "Go Back, Jack". "Fresh From The Can", packed in new artwork inspired by Andy Warhol, offers a complete side for each of the three albums to preserve the original sound and atmosphere. Side four contains classic hits from the platinum albums "Sex 'n' Jazz" and "Love For Lunch".

Downtempo Jazz Pop Lounge

10th anniversary limited edition of 1000 individually numbered copies on transparent Red vinyl, High Quality (180 gr.), Gatefold Sleeve.  Gare Du Nord’s fifth album Love For Lunch consists of more of their relaxing lounge music, for which they became famous in the early zero’s. The album is a perfect blend of jazz, funk, soul and blues music. Italian singer Dorona Alberti is the true star on this record. Her vocal range is impressive and she’s bringing the different melodies to another level. Some of the songs have a direct link to films and tv series, like the song “Come To The Ball”, which they originally wrote for Grace Jones’ comeback album Hurricane.

Maribou State's debut album Portraits, released on 1st June 2015 - a sound as quintessentially British as the picturesque Hertfordshire village that they call home. An irresistible marriage of deep, resonant guitar licks and dishevelled synths riding upon loping breakbeats and overlaid with trademark deconstructed vocal dubs, ‘Rituals’ picks up where Maribou State left off in 2013 Record/Vinyl + Digital Album (includes unlimited streaming of Portraits via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more)
